Such a special and utterly unique grain as provided by this piece of spalted beech deserved something a little special hence the gold fountain pen. I usually make fountain pens to order as they make very special gifts, especially for special occasions such as wedding gifts or graduations. This means I rarely have fountain pens available to buy, so this is a rarity.
